Solar charging and discharging integrated inverter

One question I have and not 100% sure - if I set the inverter to charge the batteries in the day from solar, so charging time 07.00 to 18.00 for example, and do not set a discharge time, will it ONLY charge from 07 to 18 and not discharge, and then will the batteries be used from 18 to 07 ?
